When you send you CBSE paper for re-evaluation, does it give the examiner a chance to deduct your marks?

Q. I just got my CBSE X results and I got less in english than I expected, so I will be sending it for re-evaluation. I just want to know if they will deduct the marks you've already got?

A. Most of the time you get more marks, your examiner might have missed to award number to an answer, in rechecking process you can get marks for that answer.

but instead of increasing marks as expected,
my marks were dectucted by 1 due to calculation mistake, which they said they had done earlier
