ONLINE UNIVERSITY

What is the difference between an online degree and one from a brick and mortar university?

Is the school accredited? will it's courses be accepted at other universities? If not, don't waste money and time on a worthless degree.

Say you get such a degree, then decide to go on and get additional schooling, only to find out nothing you took will be accepted at a university.

Many real, brick and mortar universities offer a few online degree programs. Those are the real thing and would be the better option, assuming the brick university is accredited.

As for employers, say they want a nurse and your degree is entirely on line... where is the clinical experience and if the school is not accredited by the state, the training won't get you the job.

There are a number of fake universities offering these type programs. Check and double check their credentials.
i think its not about the online or un-online university, but it depends on your results and your experiences.however, there's also the opinion that people will looke higher on certain popular university.but what makes you accepted is the way you handle your resume and interview.make it outstanding, not like the usual ones...better yet..send some videos.the company that you want to join will soon forget where you're from, instead appreciate you for ur specialties and skills.

Depends on how fancy and important sounding the schools are (:

I've heard of people putting fake schools on their resume.

I would have to say that graduating from an actual "brick and mortar" University would be viewed more highly by potential employers. Online colleges are not well-known or well-established, enough. Also, there is the potential that the "online degree" may be phony.

It depends on whether or not either of the universities are accredited, and how both of their reputations are. If the company has previously hired someone from either university, and that person had no idea what was going on, then they probably wont hire another person from that university.
One thing that "brick and mortar" universities offer, that online ones dont, is hands-on experience, which is highly viewed when going for a job. Something that might counteract that is job experience in the field that your degree is in from the onlin university.
My reccomendation as a college student is do all the possible courses online that at the basics, and then go to a traditional university for the rest of the courses, that way you had the benefit of staying at home and working while doing some of the courses, and the hands-on experience from the others. Good Luck!
