Q. What kind of preparation is required for KVPY?
A. For kvpy you haven't mentioned that you are giving the exam after class 10th or class 12th . For the exam after tenth you have to prepare course of 11th and 12th , mainly logarithmic questions which are of even higher level than 11th and 12th. You should also prepare vectors and statics and dynamics, some reactions of organic chemistry.

I wish to know about the kind of books required for KVPY Class 11 level. Are they the average textbooks and study guides or are there some specific books available for this exam?
Is it really based on class 11 or class 10 .I am confused
i wrote it in 11 and it was mostly logical.the ncert prescribed text is sufficent.just think hard and u will pass the 1st level.the interview will be a bit tougher.i sweated out completely in a closed room in iit-madras
